Equipment

  • 1 skillet

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 white onion, chopped – can buy this pre-chopped in a mix
  • 1/3 cups celery, chopped – can buy this pre-chopped in a mix
  • 1/3 cups carrots, chopped – can buy this pre-chopped in a mix
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 14.5 oz canned potatoes, chopped
  • 2 tbsp W sauce
  • 14.5 oz low sodium beef broth
  • 14 oz pie crust
  • seasoning, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat over to 400f.
  • To a skillet on the stove top add 2 tbsp of oil.
  • While the oil heats chop white onion, carrots, and celery. This can also be store bought pre-chopped.
  • Once oil is hot add in vegetables.
  • Cook for a few minutes and then add tomato paste. Mix well.
  • Add ground beef, canned potatoes (chopped), W sauce, beef broth, and season to taste. I use salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to season.
  • Bring to a simmer.
  • Cover and cook on medium low for 15 minutes.
  • Cover with a pie crust.
  • Top with an egg wash. I like to add parsley flakes to mine.
  • Cut slits in the middle of pie crust.
  • Bake at 400f for 15 minutes.
