Equipment

  • 1 9×13-inch Baking Dish
  • 1 Small bowl

Ingredients

  • 12 slider rolls, such as Hawaiian rolls
  • 1-2 cups marinara sauce
  • 12-16 chicken nuggets, fully cooked and warmed
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tablespoons garlic butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Optional: Extra marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the individual rolls connected if possible. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  • Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the bottom rolls. Don’t worry if some of the sauce soaks into the bread — it adds even more flavor.
  • Warm the chicken nuggets according to the package directions so they are no longer frozen. Arrange them evenly over the marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the chicken nuggets.
  • Place the tops of the slider rolls over the cheese.
  • Brush the tops generously with melted garlic butter. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top. Add Italian seasoning if desired.
  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are hot throughout.
  • Slice apart and serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
