Equipment

  • 1 9×13-inch Baking Dish
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 Microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan (for melting butter)
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen peaches, about 16 oz
  • 1 bag frozen blackberries, about 12-16 oz
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • Optional: 2-3 tbsp brown sugar
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Add the frozen peaches and blackberries to the baking dish and spread them into an even layer. Do not thaw first.
  • If desired, sprinkle the fruit with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Sprinkle the dry white cake mix evenly over the fruit. Do not stir.
  • Slowly drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible.
  • Bake uncovered for 50-60 minutes, or until the fruit is bubbling around the edges and the top is golden brown.
  • Let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  • One stick of butter works, but you may have a few dry cake-mix spots on top. For a richer, more evenly golden topping, use 1 1/2 sticks melted butter.
