Equipment
- 1 9×13-inch Baking Dish
- Cooking spray or oil (for greasing)
- Aluminum foil
- Stirring spoon or spatula
- Measuring cups and spoons
Ingredients
- 20 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 12-14 oz fully cooked smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced into thin rounds
- 1 jar (15 oz) Alfredo sauce
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Add the refrigerated tortellini and sliced fully cooked sausage directly to the baking dish.
- Pour in the Alfredo sauce, chicken broth, and milk. Add garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Stir well so the tortellini is coated and surrounded by sauce.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and stir. Check that the tortellini is tender and everything is hot. If the tortellini still feels firm, cover and bake another 5-10 minutes.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the top. Bake uncovered for another 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is bubbly.
Use fully cooked sausage (not raw Italian sausage) so this stays a true dump-and-bake dinner.
